Caps Off to Success: Graduation for the Class of 2025

Attention seniors of the Class of 2025 and their families! We are thrilled to announce the details of our upcoming graduation events. The Christopher Columbus High School administration and graduation committee have carefully selected the dates, times, and locations for the following celebrations:
 
Graduation Rehearsals (Thursday, May 15th & Friday, May 16th)
For both days, all students are expected to arrive IN FULL UNIFORM AND CLEAN-SHAVEN no later than 7:45 am at the Columbus Gym for the Graduation ceremony practices. 
  • On Thursday, May 15th – students will receive an envelope with tickets for the Baccalaureate mass and the Graduation ceremony.  The envelope with the Graduation tickets will include all tickets allotted and requested.
  • On Friday, May 16th – Students will receive a bag with their gown, cap, and tassel.  These bags must only be opened at home so as not to lose any of the contents; THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENTS.  The GOWNS CANNOT BE IRONED, but should be hung to release any wrinkles.
Baccalaureate Mass (Thursday, May 15th, 6 PM)
Location: Epiphany Catholic Church, 8235 S.W. 57 Avenue, Miami, FL 33143
  • Student formal attire is recommended (suit, jacket, and/or tie)
  • Guest tickets are required to enter
  • Liturgy begins with faculty, administration, and celebrant procession
Graduation (Saturday, May 17th, 10 am)
Location: Watsco Center.  Doors open at 9 AM.  Graduates should arrive by 8:30 am.
  • Student formal attire is required: dress shoes, dark dress pants, white button-down shirt and tie, no jacket.
  • 8:30 am – graduating students must report to the designated gathering hall
  • 9:00 am – venue doors open to family members & guests
  • Guest tickets are required to enter   
  • 10:00 am – Commencement Ceremony begins
ITEMS PROHIBITED at the University of Miami, Watsco Center
The Center does not allow the following items in the arena:
  • Weapons, pepper spray/mace, flares, fireworks
  • Food, beverage, alcohol, cans, bottles, flasks, coolers, drugs, illegal substances
  • Pamphlets, product samples
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, chairs, beach balls
  • Laptop/Tablet computers, 2-way radios, laser pointers, flashlights
  • Balloons, permanent markers, spray paint
  • Noise making devices: air horns, drums, whistles, etc.
  • Bags, backpacks, briefcases, duffle bags larger than 14" X 14" x 6"
  • Signs/Flags/Banners/Posters: may not be larger than 11" X 17" or attached to a pole/stick
Senior BBQ (Thursday, May 22nd)
Location: Christopher Columbus High School, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm 
  • Diplomas, final transcripts, awards, and yearbooks will be distributed after lunch in the gym.
  • Students should remember to please bring their token donation of $20.25 to Mr. Kruczek.
