The library is a place of quiet study and research. Students should be in school uniform. In addition to its print collection, the library has a wide range of databases and e-books. Both on and off campus the library’s electronic holdings can be accessed on students’ iPads and MACs through which students can also print at the school copiers.

Access the catalog and databases through columbushs.myschoolapp.com > Resources > Library. Circulating books can be checked out for a two-week period and are renewable. Renewals can be done through email to the librarian.

Other items (e.g., magazines, videos, and reference material) can be checked out overnight. Checkouts are limited to three books. Transactions require a Columbus ID card. A fine of 10¢ a day is charged for an overdue item. Lost and damaged items must be paid for together with a replacement processing fee.

Brotherhood, Faith, and Scholarship define the Marist Brothers Catholic education at Christopher Columbus High School.  By making Jesus Christ known and loved and creating an inspiring academic and extracurricular environment, we prepare young men for higher learning and a life-long commitment to leadership and service through Gospel and Marist values.

Columbus is fully accredited by Cognia and is a member of the Marist Association of Secondary schools, the National Catholic Education Association and the Independent Schools of South Florida.
