At Columbus, we compliment future career paths with Externships for current students. Externships are simply experiential learning opportunities, similar to internships but generally shorter, provided by partnerships to give students short practical experiences in their field of study or area of interest. The program, which works hand in hand to support the curriculum pathways, complements and further enhances the student’s instructional process beyond the classroom experience. That includes opportunities in various fields of study, such as Business, Medicine, Law, Engineering, Architecture and Technology to list a few.
The program, which has traditionally been exclusive to the Mas Family Program, has grown exponentially and the goal is to be able to accommodate all interested Columbus students. To be eligible to participate in the externship program students must be rising seniors, fill out an application and be willing to attend seminars.
