Preparation Begins for NHS Induction in Early 2025

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors aspiring to join the prestigious Br. Edmund Sheehan Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) in early 2025!

Now is the time to ensure you’re on track to meet the necessary criteria. While this is not an official invitation, it’s essential to start preparing if you wish to be considered for membership.
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
  1. Scholarship: Maintain a minimum 3.75 unweighted cumulative GPA through the Fall semester of your sophomore or junior year. (Note: GPA will not be rounded up.)
  2. Service: Complete and record Christian community service hours with Brother Al on X2Vol by the end of the first semester:
    1. Sophomores: 35 hours
    2. Juniors: 50 hours
  3. Character/Leadership: Secure three recommendation forms from three teachers or a combination of two teachers and a club moderator, coach, guidance counselor, or administrator. These should speak to your character, leadership, and commitment to service. (Students and parents are not responsible for collecting these forms; they will be managed by the NHS moderator upon invitation.)
Be diligent about checking your emails and responding promptly as the selection process will begin in early 2025. This is your opportunity to shine and become a part of a legacy of excellence at Columbus!
