Columbus Robotics Wins Big at the Miami Science Museum!

 
   

On Sunday, October 11, 2009, The Miami Science Museum hosted Bot Pop 2009 and Columbus made an explosion. Competing in 25 rounds against 13 teams from local high schools.

The First Place Award went to Columbus varsity team members, Federico Almonte and Rafael Ortiz for their outstanding task robot, Forklift.

The Second Place as well as theBest Sportsmanship Award went to Columbus varsity team members Kevin Casasnovas and Christian De Leon with their innovative task robot, R1.

New junior varsity members Steve Diezel, Nicholas Galan, Jonathan Izquierdo, Sebastian Murati and Andrew Ramos, built their very creative task robot, The Klaw, in only three days and will soon be a force to be reckoned with according to the team spokesperson. Great fun was had by all.

Come out and support the Columbus Robotics Team at the next competition to be held at Ransom Everglades on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 12:30pm.
