Voted one of the top fifty Catholic high schools in the U.S., Columbus provides a rich curriculum that challenges all students to achieve their full potential. Courses are offered in ability groupings in order to accomodate different learning styles and abilities.
Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Honors level classes allow students to excel at an accelerated pace while earning college credits, giving them the opportunity to enter college at the sophomore level. In fact, Columbus has more students taking AP classes than any other Catholic school in Dade County and their passing averages on AP exams are five times higher than the state and national averages.
At Columbus, smaller class sizes, supportive educational programs, and various summer and after-school enrichment opportunities provide optimal opportunities for all students to succeed.
Our Mas Family Scholars Program is considered to be one of the most challenging academic programs in South Florida. Designed for the gifted, highly motivated student, the program balances rigorous coursework with enrichment activities, internships and independent study projects.
